Warrant Arrest Leads To An Additional Charge
(KAIR)--An Atchison man already wanted for failing to appear in court, is facing a new charge after being taken into custody Tuesday afternoon.
40-year-old Mark Walker was spotted by an Atchison police officer in the 1100 block of Division just after 1:00. Police chief Mike Wilson says that the officer knew that Walker had a warrant issued for him and took him into custody. Upon investigation, the officer discovered what appeared to be a methamphetamine pipe in Walker's possession.
Walker was transported to the Atchison county jail where he faces a charge of possession of methamphetamine in addition to the original failure to appear charge.
