Atchison City Commission Expands Neighborhood Program
10/18/2013

(KAIR)--Atchison residents will perhaps start to see their neighborhoods taking on a new, fresher look in the near future. Atchison City Manager Trey Cocking says that the commission is looking to expanding the neighborhood revitalization program a top priority at their next meeting. Cocking says that some small changes have been made to the program to encourage more redevelopment, as well as to encourage more remodeling of existing homes.

In addition to the neighborhood revitalization program, the commission will look to possibly make some changes to their licensing ordinances to make it easier for corporations to apply for licenses.

The commissioners will also debate on whether or not to make the stop signs at the four way intersection of 4th and Main Street permanent.
The Atchison city commission meeting will be held on Monday afternoon at 4:30.
