Falls City Council to Meet Monday Evening

 (KLZA) -- A long list of agenda items for the Falls City Council Monday night.  

EDGE Executive Director Beckie Cromer will meet with the Council to request extending a loan of $40,700 for Dream Weaver Hotel for 18 months and to present the third quarter 2013 report. 

Discussion on a request to use city property by Tri State Truck and Tractor for an access road off of Highway 73 will take place. Requests to rent Prichard Auditorium and allow the sale of alcohol will be reviewed.

Council members will discuss requests to block off the 1500 block of Stone Street for the Chambers Spooks on the Square Event October 31st;  to block off three parking stalls in front of F&M Bank for sleigh rides November 29th;  use Stone Street for the Veterans Day parade November 11th; and to block of Barada Street from 16th to 17th and use of the Senior Center and Street for the Jingle Bell Ride November 10th.  

A number of agenda items concerning the housing rehab grant program will also be discussed.  

The Library and Community Foundation of Richardson County is requesting installation of a 6-foot by 6-foot concrete pad on the northeast corner of the Library for an outside sculpture display.

An executive session to discuss pending litigation is the final item on the agenda. 

The meeting begins at 6 p-m.
