(KAIR)--Residents in four local counties will have a chance Wednesday morning to grab a free doughnut, and at the same time, learn more about the problem of domestic violence. Debbie Duncan, from the organization Domestic Violence Ends, or DOVES says she will be in Brown, Doniphan, Nemaha, and Atchison counties that morning working to shed some light on a very important issue in a very unique way. She will be handing out doughnuts with purple icing and purple ribbons to anyone who wants one.
Duncan says she will pick up the doughnuts at 7:00 that morning and make her way through all four counties. She will make stops in Wathena, Atchison, Elwood, Troy, Highland, Hiawatha, Sabetha, and Seneca. She plans on setting up at local law enforcement centers, doctors offices, hospitals, and social service offices in each of these cities.
