Benedictine Mixing Scares With Science
10/25/2013

(KAIR)--Who says learning can't be fun? Certainly not the students and faculty of the department of Biology, Chemistry and biochemistry, Engineering, Nursing and Physics at Benedictine college. According to a press release from the college, the group is working together to present the second annual Spooky Science Fun Bash.

Chair of the biology department Dr. Terry Malloy says there will be a wide variety of displays and demonstrations including the Ghost of Einstein, a haunted chemistry lab, and homemade bouncy balls, among others. Kids can also get a chance to see if air can lift them at a hover board exhibition. Candy, popcorn, and cupcakes will also be available.

Malloy explains that while the event is intended to be fun, the goal is to stimulate curiosity and promote science in the Atchison community.

The Spooky Science Fun Bash will take place on Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 in Westerman Hall, located on the academic quad on top of the bluff on the Benedictine college campus. The event is free and open to the public.
