(KNZA)--A 28-year-old Hiawatha man finds himself in legal troubles after an alleged attempt to escape from authorities.
According to Sheriff John Merchant, the arrest of Adam Johnson came Friday after a deputy stopped his vehicle.
Johnson pulled over, but then fled from the vehicle, leading to a short footchase. The deputy overtook him, and Johnson was arrested on charges including DUI, driving while license cancelled, suspended or revoked, flee or attempt to elude law enforcement, refusing to take a breathalyzer test and felony possession of marijuana.
Johnson was booked into the Brown County Jail on the charges.
