(KLZA) -- The Richardson County Jail Planning Committee will meet at 6:30 Thursday evening in the District Courtroom at the Richardson County Courthouse.
The meeting is to continue the planning process for determining the feasibility of building an up to date jail and law enforcement space in Richardson County. This meeting will include discussion on the project budget and financing of the proposed project.
The Committee is expected to discuss renovating and expanding the armory building to house 24 prisoners and the law enforcement center and an option of closing the Richardson County Jail and transporting prisoners to other jail facilities.
The meetings of the Jail Planning Committee are open to the public.
