City Of Atchison To Continue Leaf Removal Policy
(KAIR)--Despite the ever changing Kansas weather, leaves are starting to fall from trees all over the area. As Atchison residents break out the rakes and leaf bags, some may be wondering what the city's rules on leaf clean up are. Atchison Public Works Director Justin Pregon says that the city's policies are pretty clear cut. He says that in previous years, the public works department's street division has managed a program where residents are allowed to sweep their leaves into the street, and the city will come by with a street sweeper to sweep them up.
Pregon says that since he is relatively new to the job, he did want to continue to offer the same service that has been offered in previous years, but added that there is a chance some small changes could be made in the coming years.
