Falls City 8th Grade Class Donates to Team Jack
12/04/2013

(KTNC) -  The Falls City Middle School 8th Grade Class collected $814 during the 6th annual Chautauqua Night last month.
The topic for this year’s event was “Hollywood Stars.”  Students spent two weeks researching information about stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and came up with portrayals of a star during the Chautauqua Night.
The class voted to donate proceeds from this year’s event to the Team Jack Foundation, which helps fund research on pediatric brain cancer.  Students chose the Team Jack Foundation because they’ve been inspired by Jack Hoffman’s message and determination.
In the six years Falls City 8th graders have held the Chautauqua Night, they’ve raised more than $4100 for various charities.
