(KMZA)--An early morning report of an apparent burglary in progress at a barn in rural Seneca leads to the arrest of three suspects.
It happened shortly before 4:00 Friday morning when the Nemaha County Sheriff's Department, working in conjunction with the Seneca Police Department, responded to a barn at 1029 136th Road.
The Nemaha County Sheriff's Department reports that three persons were found at the barn, including 28-year-old Shawn Scott, of Olathe, 34-year-old Dustin Benjamin, of Ottawa, and 22-year-old Ronice Palacio, of Great Bend.
Scott faces charges for burglary, theft, attempted theft and criminal damage. He was also taken into custody on a Lyon County warrant for burglary, attempted theft of property or services and criminal damage to property.
He was turned over to the custody of Lyon County after he was freed locally on a $500 surety bond.
Benjamin faces charges of attempted theft, possession of paraphernalia and possession of meth, while Palacio was taken into custody on two Barton County warrants for probation violation.
Both Benjamin and Palacio remain held in the Nemaha County Jail.
