(KNZA)--A boil water advisory has been issued for the Jackson County community of Netawaka.
According to a press release issued by the City of Netawaka, the advisory follows a water main break that led to low pressure for the city's water system since the late evening of Sunday.
That leads to the potential for bacteria to enter the water system, making the boil water advisory necessary.
All customer's of Netawaka's water system should vigorously boil any water intended to be drank or used for cooking for one minute.
Ice cubes should be disposed of and remade.
The boil water advisory will remain in place until water samples can be tested to make certain that it's safe for consumption.
