Salaries Set for Richardson Co. Elected Officials

 (KLZA) -- Richardson County Commissioners have approved a resolution establishing the salaries for elected County Officials for the new term of office, 2015 through 2018.  

The County Attorney salary beginning in 2015 will be $58,380 with an annual increase of 5% during the term of office. In year four of the term the salary will be nearly $67,600 annually. 

The Deputy County Attorney will be paid 80 percent of the County Attorney’s salary.  

The Sheriff’s salary in 2015 will be $55,950 with a $1,500 increase each year of the term.  In the fourth year of the salary the salary will be $60,400.  The Chief Deputy Sheriff will be paid 80 percent of the Sheriff’s salary. 

The County Clerk, County Clerk of the District Court, County Treasure and County Assessor will be paid $47,750 in 2015 with $1,500 salary increases each year.  In the fourth year of the term the salary will reach $52,200.  Deputies within these offices will be paid 75 percent of the county officials salary. 

The Commissioners will receive a 2015 salary of $20,760 with an annual salary boost of $750.  By year four of the term the Commissioners salary will be $23,010.

In addition, the County Clerk is to be compensated for additional time and effort spent to carry out the duties and responsibilities of Election Commissioner by an amount of $3,000 for each calendar year. The Clerk will also be paid $2,000 annually for serving as the Budget Making Authority.

Each official will also receive health, medical and life insurance group coverage and participate in the retirement plan as mandated by state law.

The County Surveyor will be paid $10,700 in 2015 with an annual salary increase of $300.
