(KTNC) -- An Iowa woman was killed and two others were injured in a crash involving a car and a semi on Interstate 29 in Holt County Friday afternoon.
The Missouri State Patrol says the crash happened shortly after 4:30 Friday afternoon, when a northbound freightliner crossed the median of the Interstate two miles south of Craig and collided head-on with a southbound car being driven by 59-year-old Lori Hartman of Council Bluffs.
The force of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway, through a fence and into a field where they came to rest.
Lori Hartman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck’s driver, Ronald Vancamp of Magnolia, Texas, and a female passenger, Mary Curtis of Appleton, Wisconsin, were taken by ambulance to the Fairfax Community Hospital with moderate injuries.
