(KLZA) -- Tedd Gilkerson has filed for election to the Falls City Board of Education. Gilkerson will be seeking a 2-year term on the Board.
Gilkerson is currently a member of the District 56 Board having been appointed following the death of Board member Kathy Bartek.
Due to the mid-term appointment it has created an election for District 56 with a 2 year term and three positions with 4-year terms up for election.
Gilkerson is the first current District 56 Board member to file for election. Other current Board members with terms ending are John Martin, Scott Huppert and Teresa Olberding.
Incumbents have until February 18th to file for election to any position they seek. Non-incumbents have until march 3rd to file for the May primary election
