(KTNC) -- The American Red Cross needs your help. April Oppliger, a spokesperson for the Nebraska - Southwest Iowa Region, says the recent Polar Vortex and snow in many parts of the country caused the cancellation of more than 300 blood drives. The Red Cross is asking donors to step forward to help now. Opliger says they especially need O-negative, A-negative, B-negative, and O-positive blood donors.
There are several opportunities to donate blood around southeast Nebraska this month.
A blood drive will be held at the 4-H Building in Auburn Monday and Tuesday. Hours are from noon to 6:00 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
A blood drive will be held in Falls City, at Prichard Auditorium, on January 28 and January 29, and another blood drive is scheduled at the Methodist Church in Pawnee City on January 30.
