(KNZA)--A Wathena man is accused of firing a gun at another man in St. Joseph earlier this week.
KQTV reports 21-year-old Tyler Ripple has been charged with a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon. According to court documents, Ripple confronted another man near 1200 Garfield in south St. Joseph Monday afternoon.
Police allege Ripple asked the man if he, "wanted to die today." Ripple and another man allegedly walked toward the victim before Ripple pulled a .22 caliber pistol from his waist band and fired two shots.
The victim allegedly ran from the two men, who eventually stopped chasing him.
Ripple remains in the Buchanan County Jail on $25,000 bond.
