(KNZA)--A celebration of Economic Development success Thursday evening, when the leadership, and members, of the Hiawatha Foundation For Economic Development met for their annual meeting, held at the Klinefelter Barn, on the Highland Community College Klinefelter Farm, in rural Hiawatha.
Dinner was served, following opening remarks provided by HFED President Gene Hillyer.
The annual business meeting followed, including the election of officers,with Hillyer maintaining his role for another year.
The evening concluded with two presentations.
The first was provided by Hiawatha Thriftway owner Tim White, who outlined the success he's gained through HFED's proposal to locate the Hiawatha Farmers Market in the parking lot of his grocery store.
The final presentation, complete with a short film, was given by Rainbow Communications' Jackie Petersen who focused on technology and the workforce.
