(KNZA)--A two-vehicle collision on K-9 Highway in Jackson County Sunday afternoon sent an elderly Goff woman to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 18-year-old North Platte, Nebraska resident Joshua Lease was making a u-turn in the middle of the roadway and struck a Chevy Suburban driven by 55-year-old Timothy Johnsen, of Goff.
A passenger in the Johnsen vehicle, 82-year-old Viola Cannon, was transported to the Holton Hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
Johnsen and a second passenger in his vehicle escaped injury. Also Lease and two passengers in his vehicle were not hurt.
The wreck was reported shortly before 3:30 Sunday afternoon about five miles east of Wetmore.
