(KTNC) -- The Pawnee City Council hired a swimming pool manager and two assistant managers during a brief meeting Monday night.
The council approved a hiring committee recommendation to hire Tim Blecha as the pool manager for the summer season. Blecha was the pool manager last year.
The council also approved the recommendation to hire Gale Nutter and Amber Lewis as assistant swimming pool managers. The city will wait to hire lifeguards as the swimming season approaches.
In other business Monday, the Pawnee City Council approved an agreement from the Village of Burchard for Pawnee City to provide kenneling services for animals captured in Burchard. The agreement is similar to the agreement Pawnee City has with Steinauer.
And the council approved, without discussion, a series of ordinances prepared by the League of Nebraska Municipalities and recommended by City Attorney Joe Stehlik.
