(KMZA)--Marysville High School Principal Sheri Harmer has resigned.
The Marysville Advocate reports Harmer handed in her resignation Tuesday, saying she needs a change. The resignation will be effective at the end of the current school year. USD 364 board hasn’t officially acted on the resignation yet.
Harmer, who has been with USD 364 since 1987, is in her fifth year as principal.
She is the third Marysville school administrator to resign this year. Earlier this year, High School Athletic Director and Assistant Principal Bert Lord announced his retirement at the end of the current school year, and last fall, Junior High Principal Cindy Scarbrough, announced her resignation effective at the end of the school year.
The board of education decided to combine the junior high and high school administrator duties. Harmer was to have been the principal for grades 7-12, and the district is taking applications for an assistant principal and activities director for grades 7-12.
