(KTNC) -- Discount vehicle entry permits for Nemaha Natural Resources District parks are available until the end of the month.
The permits allow entry to Kirkman’s Cove Recreation Area, Iron Horse Trail Lake, and Wirth Brothers Lake through the end of the year.
Permits cost $10 until April 1st, and the price goes to $12 after that. Permit stickers are required for all licensed vehicles entering NRD parks. Permits are available at the Nemaha NRD office in Tecumseh, by mail, or via the temporary envelopes located at each park. For each $10 permit, you can also purchase a second permit for $6.
Visitors to Iron Horse Trail and Kirkman’s Cove are reminded as well that the daily fee for electrical camping hook-ups has increased to $12 at those parks. The NRD Board voted to increase the fee last fall.
