The Kansas Cattlemen's Association will be hosting a free supper and industry meeting in Corning, Kansas on Thursday, March 27. KCA will be discussing some of the industries hot topics including the state's corporate farming law, country of origin labeling (COOL), the importation of Brazilian beef, and the latest EPA issues.
"Local sponsors and KCA are providing a free USA beef barbeque supper with sides and desserts, after which KCA will engage attendees and open the floor for additional discussion. There is a lot going on in the industry right now, and legislators are busy putting together a lot of laws that are going to impact cattlemen across the state. I highly encourage everyone in the area to come out and hear what's going on. It is an opportunity to speak to KCA representatives one on one, ask questions, get answers, share thoughts, and come together with neighbors and friends to help make the industry better. KCA always appreciates the participation from area cattlemen and looks forward to visiting with members and non-members alike," stated KCA CEO Brandy Carter.
The event will be held at the Corning Community Building, 6621 5th St., Corning, KS at 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 27. This event is to promote the cattle industry, provide resource information, and update cattlemen and area businesses on what Kansas Cattlemen's Association is proactively doing in the industry. This event is free and open to the public; however, reservations are encouraged so that proper meal accommodations can be made. Reservations can be made by calling the KCA office at 785-238-1483.
