(KTNC) -- A loose shoe led to a collision between a car and a building early Tuesday afternoon in Falls City.
Melissa Duey of Falls City told authorities that her Velcro shoe came undone causing her to miss the brake and cause her vehicle hit the building at 923 Harlan Street.
Witnesses said the car, a 2008 Hyundai Accent, failed to stop at the parking lot block and ran into the building, causing an interior wall to move.
Damage to the building was estimated at $10,000 and damage to Duey’s vehicle was estimated at $1,100.
No one was injured in the collision.
