(KMZA)-- A burn advisory has been issued for Nemaha County ( KS).
County Emergency Preparedness Director Todd Swart on Monday recommended to the county commission that a burn advisory be put into effect due to the dry weather and recent high winds. Commissioners agreed to issue the burn advisory, effective immediately.
Residents planning a controlled burn are asked to call their local fire chief or the county dispatch center to inform them of where and when the burn will take place.
The burn advisory will remain in effect until further notice.
