(KLZA) -- No injuries were reported from an early morning house fire in Auburn Monday.
Auburn Fire Chief Randy Bennett said the Auburn Volunteer Fire Department was called out at 4:49 a-m Monday morning to 2323 Q Street in Auburn. When firemen arrived the entire south side of the home was in flames.
Chief Bennett said is appears the fire started in the chimney of the home owned by Carol Rockemann. Rockemann lived in the home with his three granddaughters. Everyone got out with no injuries reported.
Firemen were on the scene for approximately six hours. The Johnson Fire Department also responded to the mutual-aid call.
Chief Bennett said the Fire Department had a busy weekend responding to a grass fires. He noted there will be no burn permits issued until further notice.
