(KAIR)--The Atchison County Joint Communications plan has been updated.
County Commissioners voted 3-0 during their meeting Tuesday to adopt a resolution to update the policy that has been in place for the past twenty years.
Commission Chair Jeff Schuele says the resolution updates parts of the policy that have changed over the years, especially in regards to the Joint Communication Board, which includes appointees from both the Atchison City and Atchison County Commissions.
Schuele says the same resolution was agreed upon by by the Atchison City Commission during their meeting two weeks ago
In other business, the commission signed off on a road safety project with the Kansas Department of Transportation involving three Y intersections of 262nd Road. The three intersections involved are located at Osborne, Rawlins, and Ottawa Roads.
