No Action on Real Estate Image Proposal by Richardson County Board
03/27/2014

(KLZA) -- A motion from Richardson County Commission Chairman David Sickel to enter into an agreement with Pictometry International Corporation for the company to provide county offices with intelligent images of tracts of real estate at a price of $122,776 died for a lack of a second during Tuesday’s meeting.  The cost was to be paid over six years.

In addition to use by Richardson County, images would also have been available for the City of Falls City.  The City had agreed to pay 18 percent of the cost amounting to just over $10,000.

Commissioners approved the appointment of June Bower to the nominating committee for the Community Medical Center, Board of Directors.

Sealed bids were opened for mowing the Courthouse grounds and specified area of the Armory for 2014.  Scholl Lawn and Landscape and Sterling Lampe both submitted bids of $145.  T Cozz Mowing of Oregon, Missouri submitted a bid of $165 and Seasonal Lawn Care submitted a bid of $65 for the Armory grounds.

Commissioners voted unanimously to award the bid to Sterling Lampe who has been doing the mowing for several years at the Courthouse.

Following a brief public hearing to receive public comment in regard to the sale of two parcels in Salem, the Board voted to offer for sale to the highest bidder the properties on Tuesday, April 15th at 10:30 a-m.
