(KLZA)-- Hawkins Construction Company will begin demolition work on Highway 136 in Auburn Monday from H Street to K Street. They will then begin demolition work on the street and sidewalks.
The entire project cost is in excess of $5-million and will be completed this year.
The intersection of Highways 75 and 136 is a priority so they can get North / South traffic flowing again in 2-3 weeks.
Auburn businesses affected by the work in Phase 1 will have their mail on hold and can pick it up at the post office.
Weekly meetings will be held Tuesday’s starting April 8th at 1 p-m in the Council Chambers at City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
