(KAIR)--A two-vehicle wreck in Atchison County Monday afternoon sends a Cummings man to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the wreck happened near the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and 258th Road , about four miles southwest of Atchison shortly after 4.
The Patrol says 49-year-old Paul Mason, of Cummings, was southbound on U.S. 59 when he struck the rear of a propane truck driven by 26-year-old Garrett Twombly, of Troy. Twombly was traveling northbound and was attempting to turn left onto 258th Road when he turned in front of the pickup driven by Mason.
Mason was transported to Topeka’s Stormont Vail for treatment of possible injuries. Twombly was not injured.
The Patrol says both drivers were wearing seat belts.
