(KNZA)--Portions of two highways in Atchison County will be closed early next week for cross road pipe replacement work.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says K-116 will be closed to traffic from U.S. 159 to U.S. 59 on Monday between 8:30 and 3, weather permitting.
In addition, KDOT says U.S. 159 will be closed from the north city limits of Nortonville to K-116 on Tuesday between 8:30 and 3, weather permitting.
No marked detours will be provided. Flaggers will be positioned to direct drivers around the closed highways via a local detour route.
Drivers should expect some delays and must use alternate routes during the roadway closures.
