Hiawatha Chamber Administrator Resigns

(KNZA)--The Administrator of the Hiawatha Chamber of Commerce has announced her intention to resign.

Stacy Babb informed the Hiawatha City Commission of her decision during their regular meeting Monday evening.

Babb has served in the role since 2009.

She says other responsibilities have required more attention, meaning it's time to give up the part time administrator's role.

In her letter of resignation, submitted to the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Babb says she appreciates the opportunities she has been given and will provide any assistance she can during the Chamber's time of transition.

Babb tells MSC News it's been an honor to work with the businesses in the community and plans on remaining active with community events as her schedule allows.

As administrator, Babb has been responsible for the day to day operations of the Chamber of Commerce, as well as the planning for a variety of community events.

Her resignation will formally be addressed during Wednesday evening's regular monthly meeting of the Chamber Board.
