(KNZA)-- A third candidate has filed for the position of 1st District Doniphan County Commissioner.
Bill Becker, of Denton, is the latest candidate to seek the seat. Becker joins two others, Highland residents H. James Ruhnke and Matthew Dunn, in seeking the Republican nomination.
Incumbent David Van Laar isn’t seeking re-election.
Candidates have until noon, June 2nd to file. The position is the only Doniphan County office up for election this fall.
The primary election is August 5th and the general election will be November 4th.
