(KNZA)--Al Barton remains as the City of Horton's Parks and Recreation Commissioner.
That comes as he defeats challenger Lonnie Boller in a coin toss Monday morning.
The old fashioned test of luck was necessary after last week's canvass of ballots at the Brown County Commission meeting ended in a tie.
Boller challenged Barton for the seat during the April 1st local election.
This is the first election win as Parks and Recreation Commissioner for Barton, who was appointed to the seat in October of 2012 following a resignation.
Barton, who was in attendance during Monday's Brown County Commission meeting where the coin toss was held, called "heads," leading to his win.
Commission Chairman Keith Olsen tossed the coin.
