Plea Entered In Atchison Drug Case
04/21/2014

(KAIR)--A Missouri woman arrested last week by Atchison police has pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine and interference with a law enforcement officer.

29-year-old Kristen Milum of Kearney, entered the plea in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon. In exchange for the plea, a charge of possession of stolen property was dropped.

Milum, and 33-year-old Stanley Fleer of Kansas City, MO were arrested last week after police discovered that the truck they were in had no tags, and had been reported stolen from Kansas City. When the officer asked for identification, both allegedly provided him with false names in an attempt to avoid arrest.

Investigators also determined that both were allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.

A June 2nd sentencing date has been set for Milum.

Fleer also appeared in court Monday for a status hearing. His attorney, Andrew Werring, requested the hearing be moved in order to give him time to consult with his client.

Judge Martin Asher agreed, and set a hearing date for Friday morning.
