Neb. Supreme Court to Hear Arguments in Falls City EDGE Public Records Suit
04/25/2014

(KLZA) - During her quarterly report to the Falls City Council members this past week, Falls City Economic and Development and Growth Enterprise Executive Director Beckie Cromer noted that hopefully legal issues that have been ongoing for more than a year will come to a conclusion in the near future.

The Nebraska Supreme Court has chosen to hear the case brought by David Leon Frederick, one of the owners of Salem Grain concerning public records.

EDGE appealed an earlier ruling and the states high court has decided to hear the case by the last week of May, bypassing the appellate court. Frederick has filed several lawsuits against EDGE and the City of Falls City since Consolidated Grain and Barge announced their intention to build a facility in Falls City in 2012.
