(KLZA) -- The second annual ARIENS Earth Day Celebration in Auburn is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd. The Auburn Chamber of Commerce, City of Auburn, ARIENS and Peru State, College PEKS and PBL are sponsoring the event.
Events include a city wide park clean-up event from 8 a-m until 10 a-m; electronic recycling from 9 a-m until noon; a CHANCE, 5K Fun Run / Walk around Auburn beginning at the Rec Complex at 9 a-m; A CHANCE Youth Field Day for children kindergarten age through 6th grade at the Auburn City Rec Complex hosted by Peru State College PEK and PBL organizations; A Home and Garden Show at the Nemaha County Fairgrounds from 9 a-m until 2 p-m and a Wellness Fair from 9 a-m until 2 p-m also at the Nemaha County Fairgrounds.
The electronic recycling collection will be set up at 1101 J Street behind City Hall.
