(KLZA) -- A one page Village of Lewiston survey has been sent out. Lewiston residents are encouraged to use the self addressed, stamped envelope to return the survey to the Southeast Nebraska Development District in Humboldt. SENDD will tally the results and keep individual responses confidential.
In order for the survey to be statistically valid, the Village needs a high rate of return.
The Village of Lewiston is anticipating having to finance a sanitary sewer improvement project, which may include outside sources of financing. One of the requirements to become eligible for these funds is to identify the median household income of families within Lewiston. Agencies such as USDA use income thresholds based on median household income & family size. This information from all families in Lewiston is important and will be kept strictly confidential. Only the total tally results will be forwarded to the Village Board for review and action.
If you have any questions about the survey, feel free to contact Kevin Burnison or Lisa Beethe with the SENDD Humboldt office (402) 862-2201 or via email at senddhumboldt@windstream.net.
