Circles Program Helps Reduce Poverty in Kansas

The Circles Program helps individuals, primarily in the west half of the state, to find employment and economic stability and has moved families out of poverty. The Circles model started in 2000 as a way to increase the capacity of communities to address poverty; the model focuses on crisis management and stabilization, education and job placement and advancement and economic stability. Circles programs exist in Newton, McPherson, Hutchinson, Marion, Salina, Iola and Wichita.
