05/05/2014

(KLZA) -- This is the last full week of campaigning for the Nebraska Primary Election.  Brian Buescher, Republican candidate for Attorney General spent Friday touring Southeast Nebraska.

The Deweese, Nebraska native graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Georgetown Law School.  Currently he represents farmers, ranchers and  agri-businesses against government regulations for the Agri-Business Litigation Division for the Kutak-Rock Law firm in Omaha.

Buescher also noted his concerns with Nebraska’s so-called “Good Time” law for inmates. He says if elected he will propose no good-time to  sentence reductions for repeat violent offenders. The husband and father of four says he is also prepared to work on a way to carry out the states death penalty.

Buescher says he has legal experience that no other candidate has, relevant to the issues facing the state.  He says being from rural Nebraska helps him understand the issues rural Nebraskans face.

The primary election is Tuesday, May 13th.  Buescher is one of four Republican candidates for Attorney General in Nebraska.
