(KLZA) -- Falls City 4th Ward City Councilman Don Ferguson submitted his resignation from the Council at the end of Monday nights agenda. Ferguson has purchased a home in another ward and plans to be moving in the near future.
Ferguson wraps up a third stint on the Council. He thanked Mayor Tim Hersh for appointing him two years ago and complimented the city employees for their dedication and hard work.
Ferguson also left some advice for the remaining Council members, suggesting they consider adding funds to the library budget so they could hopefully hire another person and keep the library open an additional day per week.
The 4th Ward Councilman wrapped up by saying he feels the development of Falls City Economic Development and Growth Enterprise is the best thing the City has done in a long time. He urged the Council to continue to support economic development and not go backwards in that area.
Falls City Mayor will now be looking for another person to appoint to the vacated 4th Ward Council seat.
