(KAIR)--An arrest has been made in connection with a series of five vehicle thefts that have taken place in Atchison over the past few weeks.
According to Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson, the arrest was made late Tuesday afternoon, and at least one more arrest in the case is expected shortly. The name and age of the juvenile suspect is not being released at this time.
Wilson says police are still investigating to see if there is a connection between the vehicle thefts and three recent burglaries to Atchison businesses. Maria’s Mexican Restaurant and Strong’s Body Shop were both burglarized Sunday evening, and the Atchison Library was burglarized last week. Nothing was taken from Strong's, but cash was taken in the other two break-ins.
