(KNZA)--Spring has sprung, and with it comes the traditional time to beautify.
That's set to happen in Hiawatha on Saturday during the annual City Wide Clean-Up Day.
Items will be accepted from 8 in the morning until 1:00 that afternoon at the county property located at 11th and Pottawatomie Streets.
Bob Spicer Salvage will be on-site to collect air conditioners, appliances, tires with rims, iron, metal and batteries.
Each Hiawatha household will be allowed one load by car, pick-up or single-axle trailer, and proof of residency will be required.
Certain items won't be accepted during the City Wide Clean-Up Day, including household trash, leaves, grass clippings, tires, paint, oil, gas, hazardous materials and any material containing freon except appliances.
