(KTNC) - A Craig man was killed in a motorcycle crash on a rural Holt County road.
The Missouri State Patrol says 54-year-old Eugene Shykes of Craig was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on Holt County Road 113, three miles north of Craig.
Patrol officials say Shykes lost control of his Harley-Davidson as he was driving westbound, going down a steep, rutted incline on the dirt road. The motorcycle overturned, ejecting Shykes.
It’s not known when the accident happened. Holt County Coroner Susan Lentz pronounced Shykes dead at the accident scene shortly after 3:30 Thursday afternoon.
