(KNZA)--A wreck involving three motorcycles in southern Jefferson County over the weekend claimed the life of a Missouri man.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Todd Stevenson, of Gladstone, Missouri, was driving his motorcycle on U.S. 24 late Saturday afternoon when he tried to pass on a curve and hit a group of motorcyclists. Stevenson was taken to a Topeka hospital, where he later died.
Three others were injured. 42-year-old Lenexa resident Garrett Dougherty was transported to a Kansas City hospital with disabling injuries. Leavenworth residents 42-year-old Shawn Galichia and his passenger, 38-year-old Andrea Galichia, were treated at the scene for possible injuries.
The Patrol says none of those involved were wearing helmets.
