Horton Man Arrested For Felony Theft
05/12/2014

(KNZA)--A 43-year-old Horton man is facing legal troubles, arrested Friday in connection with the theft of a trailer.

Horton Police Chief John Calhoon says the investigation that led to the apprehension of Ronnie Brandenburg dates back to the theft that occurred in October of last year. “That involved the theft of a box top trailer from a residence within the City of Horton in the 100 block of West 14th where they were doing some construction on a home,” Calhoon tells MSC News. “Some information developed late last week [and] Mr. Brandenburg was brought in.”

Brandenburg, arrested on a charge of felony theft, was booked into the Brown County Jail but bonded out Saturday.

Brown County Attorney Kevin Hill is reviewing the case for the possible filing of formal charges.

Although it took seven months for an arrest to be made, Calhoon says the trailer, owned by Warman Construction and valued at $2,800, was recovered shortly after it had been stolen.
