(KLZA) -- The Mound City School Board approved the resignation of Kale Lyons when they met Monday.  Lyons, the Middle School Math teacher has accepted a position in Plattsburg.

In other personnel moves Doug Freemeyer has been hired as a High School Social Studies teacher and Lee McFadden was hired at the new Middle School Math instructor.  Following a closed session for employee evaluations,  all of the classified employees were re-hired for the 2014-15 school year.

The Board also approved a 10-cent per meal increase for lunches due to federal regulations concerning meal costs.

Curriculum revisions and offerings were discussed.  On the recommendation of High School Principal Korey Miles the Board voted to eliminate a half-credit of computers for graduation requirements.  Students will still need to attain 26 credits for graduation and computers will still be offered as a credit. The purpose for the change was to free up student and teacher schedules.

The Mound City School Board members also approved the ACES Special Education cooperative agreement that involved 20 Northwest Missouri school districts.
