Soil Health Field Days

We have two exciting field days coming up next month that we would like to announce. The first meeting is being sponsored and hosted by Scott Gonnerman at his farm near Waco, NE (6 miles North, 1 mile East of Waco, NE) on June 11th from 9am-4:30pm. The second meeting will be sponsored and hosted by Green Cover Seed at our locating near Bladen, NE (starting in the field 1 mile east of Bladen, NE) on June 12th from 9am-4:30pm. Both days will feature the same speakers and while their talks and demonstrations will be similar, each day will feature unique information based on the fields being looked at and the questions being asked by participants. Some of the topics will include:

  • Soil Health Comparisons Between Conventional Till and No-Till Soils (in field demonstrations)
  • Utilize Soil Indicators to Determine Soil health and Function (in field demonstration)
  • Soil Health and Sustainability: Changing our Paradigms (in field)
  • No-till Equipment: Setup, Adjustments and Maintenance (hands on)
  • Soil Ecology and Nutrient Cycling
  • Soil Testing - A Biological Approach
  • Economics of Cover Crops
  • The Plant and The Soil Are One
  • Designing Cover Crop Mixtures

Our speaker line up includes nationally acclaimed soil health experts Ray Archuleta, Jim Hoorman, Ray Ward, Paul Jasa and Keith Berns.

You can register to attend either meeting for $45 per person(noon meal included) or attend both meetings for $65 per person (noon meals included). Also please note the special offer of a half price Haney soil test with each registration at the bottom of the email.
