Air Force General To Speak At Everest Honor Ceremony

(KAIR)--Lieutenant General Tod Wolters is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the fifth annual Everest Honor Ceremony.

Wolters is the Commander of the Twelfth Air Force, and Air Force Southern at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. He has fought in operations Desert Storm, Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom. 

The Ceremony is scheduled to start at 2:00 Saturday afternoon in the Everest Middle School gym and will continue at 3:00 in the new Honnell-Means Honor Garden in the Everest Community Park. 

Local area Korean War veterans will be honored with a rose ceremony, and the Army First Infantry Division Band is scheduled to perform as well. The Colors will be posted by Everest American Legion Post 288, and Boy Scout Troup 112 of Horton will place the roses. 

Following the ceremony in the park, there will be a reception with light refreshments at the Everest Christian Church.
