(KTNC) -- A Wathena man was injured late Tuesday morning when his minivan collided with a tractor on a northwest Missouri highway.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Jackie Kridler attempted to pass a John Deere tractor that was turning left from Highway 59 about four miles south of Oregon into a farm field.
Kridler swerved back into his lane, but his 2000 Chrysler Voyager collided with a planter being pulled behind the tractor.
Kridler was transported by ambulance to the Heartland Hospital in St. Joseph with moderate injuries. The minivan was totaled, while the tractor sustained minor damage. The tractor driver, Bradley Kurtz of Oregon, was not injured.
The wreck happened shortly before 11:00 a.m.
