(KNZA)--The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a public health advisory for Atchison’s Warnock Lake.
KDHE says high levels of toxic blue-green algae have been detected.
The agency says boating and fishing is allowed, but direct contact with the water is discouraged for people and animals.
The advisory will remain in place until further notice.
